NOW HIRING: OFFICE MANAGER
The Office Manager will provide administrative and office support for Canterbury House. This is a part-time role, averaging 15 hours a week at $18 per hour. Flexible schedule negotiable during the summers.

REPORTS TO: The Chaplain, Canterbury House
Specific Responsibilities and Duties
Administrative
-
Promptly and professionally answer and respond to phone calls, emails, and other communications.

Provide “front of house” support to those who drop in during office hours.

Provide administrative and clerical support for the chaplain.
-
Manage relationships with rental tenants.
-
Manage CH’s events calendar and coordinate building use by internal and external groups
-
Order supplies and track inventory
Communications
-
Maintain CH website and social media
-
Assist chaplain with maintaining email list and sending weekly emails
-
Maintain/update donor database and use database to assist with sending mailings
Maintenance
-
Manage CH’s physical space:
-
Keep space neat and tidy
-
Keep up with maintenance and light cleaning
-
Track long-term repair projects and capital investment needs and report to the board
-
Get bids and manage vendors, including cleaners, repair workers, snow removal and gardening, etc.

Bookkeeping
-
Track and organize donations and expenses
-
Maintain electronic and physical files of essential documents
-
Liaise with the bookkeeper
-
Make deposits and pay bills as needed.
Other
-
Participate in weekly check-ins with the Chaplain
-
Attend quarterly board meetings
-
Other duties as they arise
Desired Qualifications:
-
Successful completion of a background-check per EDOMI policy
-
Computer skills: demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office programs, Google suite, MailChimp, website hosts, and social media including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter

Clerical skills: good grammar and editing abilities, word processing, software spreadsheets/budgets, use of office equipment

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communications, and close attention to detail
-
Ability to take initiative, manage competing demands, set priorities, and adapt quickly
-
Sensitivity to religious diversity and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues of other faith traditions
