Sundays 5 p.m. – From September through April, our weekly Sunday worship is the Jazz Mass, featuring the music of Stephen Rush and Quartex. This service is upbeat and contemporary, with plenty of opportunities to worship with our voices and our bodies! On third Sundays and academic holidays (check the calendar) we offer a Taize Service – contemplative and prayerful, with simple, accessible music. Those who play an instrument are welcome to come rehearse with Steve at 4 p.m. Our Sunday services are followed by supper prepared by our members. In the summertime (May through August) we gather on Sunday evening for a simple Eucharist service, and go out for supper together afterwards. Wednesdays 5:30 p.m. - Solemn Evensong is a service of Evening Prayer, consisting of scripture readings, psalms and prayers. The service is particularly reverent, with incense, bells, candlelight, and chanted responses. Those who find themselves drawn to “high church” liturgy will find this service particularly appealing. Solemn Evensong is followed by a light supper of soup and bread. In the summertime (May through August) our midweek service is a quiet service of Evening Prayer. |
